Today , I got reviewer with new WordPress upload standard, but now I have a important question with API Key:
$upgrader = new Envato_WordPress_Theme_Upgrader( 'denonstudio', 'xxxxxxxav7hny3p1ptm7xxxxxxxx' );

Here if I must push author name and author api key means the buyer can use the api code get more about author imformation like “earn money, comments” etc…

Who can tell me more information about the toolkit?

You use buyer username/api key, not yours.

Hi

Our last theme was rejected because of Envato Wordpress Toolkit integration problem. This is the message: All themes require integration with the Envato WordPress Toolkit Library. http://notes.envato.com/general/envato-wordpress-toolkit/https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit-library

Does this means that we need to include those classes and create some backend option where user can enter his/her username and API key? But how should we test this because one of developers said that we can’t get any info about theme version if we didn’t purchase it i.e. we can’t test it on our themes.

Can we just include Wordpress Toolkit Library instead that class because plugin have Theme backup option.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

You need add the https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit-library and delete yourself update notify code.

My theme just had online, but I also don’t know the library auto update works status, waitting buyer feedback!

this is starting to get ridiculous now ….

there are all these new rules in place and nobody knows about them but reviewers. There’s nothing more frustrating for an author than waiting days in queue and then being rejected for reasons not mentioned anywhere.

True. Idea is great but I think that no one knows how this should be done right. Also it’s ridiculous that we can’t even test it.

Authors, starting from Wednesday 4th April, please ensure you update your WordPress themes on ThemeForest and upload a WordPress Theme ZIP file for each of your themes.
http://notes.envato.com/general/envato-wordpress-toolkit/

So, does this apply to themes already published? Staff, I assume the item is removed if we don’t follow the rules, right? Will updating a theme lose its options, customizations? What about buyers who have modified php files in themes, are they warned about the risk of losing all their work? Even with a back up, implementing the modifications again in files is huge work, some of my buyers modified a lot of files for their clients requests, what should I do, email each one not to let their clients update automatically? And what if there are some I dont know about? Maybe I dont exactly get this change and it’s in fact a lot simpler than I think, hope some answers can help. In the end, its authors who will have their inbox full with messages from buyers or even worse, bad rates from them just because they might not have the knowledge to understand some things.

Ok, so if anyone’s reading this thread: “Official Answer: The Envato WordPress Toolkit Library is not currently required. This was a fault in communication and I apologize for the confusion.” Quote from jremick http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/since-when/86948?page=5
