Hello -

It seems that the majority of the print files sold on here are either PSD or at times Illustrator.

You would think that InDesign would be more prevalent especially for Brochures and other collateral materials.

Curious to know what anyone thinks about this? Is there even a demand for InDesign files? Why don’t we see more?

Thanks

In the industry, in a professional design agency yes… InDesign is definitely a standard tool. On the Internet, I guess a lot more people are self taught and there is definitely a lack of excitement and interest surrounding InDesign. PS and AI are more appealing.

There is definitely demand, my InDesign items sell very regularly. I’ve only had a couple of requests to convert to AI or PSD . I think there are just not that many InDesign authors here at the marketplaces.

That’s what I was thinking. I myself prefer to buy InDesign files for print when picking up items here on Graphic River…...

Maybe I’ll try to get a few on here and see how it works out.

I didn’t knew that We can use InDesign! I Will try to bring Indesign templates, and it will help me recover my rusty skills.

InDesign is not regularly used by the common designers, except the ones who work in the print industry. That is why there aren’t so many files here. But the number of InDesign files is growing.

There are obviously many features that only an InDesign file has, and I think sooner or later the demand of INDD file will increase dramatically :)
