I’m a total beginner, so accept my apologies for my ignorance in this matter. I’m not figuring out how to download my ThemeForest “New Business” website template into wordpress. Documentation says to go to Appearance/Themes/Install Themes. I can’t find Install Themes?? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

Dave, if written instructions do not seem clear enough to you, then video instructions would be better.

Just go to Youtube and search for ” how to install wordpress theme ”, and you will see some video instructions that would help you.

Sometimes I also do not get the things in written instructions, so I simply approach youtube and get some solution. :)

If you go to Appearance > Themes, you’ll see there are tabs along the top. By default you’re in “Manage Themes”. Click the “Install Themes” tab instead.

This video may help you as well http://wiki.envato.com/buying/support-buying/solving-broken-theme-issues/

Best,

Chris

Thanks Chris . . . but I still seem to be doing something wrong?? Maybe I have a bad (old) version of WordPress? When I click on Appearance and then Theme I do not have an “install theme” button, but an “Are you new here” button. The “Add New” button does not have an “upload” choice. Only Post, Page, Media, Link, User.

Very good question

Dave, if you’re not sure, you might want to read this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Premium themes (from any site) only run on WordPress(.org), not WordPress.com – for WordPress.com, there are a limited number of predefined themes you can use.

If you’re self-hosted, make sure you are logged in as an account admin and you’re running at least WordPress 3.
