I don’t know if you guys knew about this; I didn’t, so I’m writing it here for future reference. There seems to be a bug in Internet Explorer when playing a cached AS3 file: Progress events don’t get casted at all! I used them in my AS3 preloaders, and a buyer pointed me that the as3 version hangs when refreshing in IE. Well, the reason is that, events not working. Why? Who knows, is IE…in Firefox works like a charm. Damn IE.

Well, the workaround here is to use an enter frame event instead a progress event, that’s all.

I see a lot of AS3 items updates in the next hours…

you should listen for Event.COMPLETE as well as ProgressEvent.PROGRESS as Event.COMPLETE will fire once the file is loaded whether from the cache or the server…
