Welcome and have a nice time here on Audiojungle. Good luck for the future!
Thanks a lot you guys! I uploaded my first track last night. How long does it usually take to go through the screening? And once it’s up can updates be made to it? Thanks again! Having fun getting to know the site. Cheers!
Hi Pedro and welcome. The review time apparently depends on the moment and item. Right now the last things I uploaded took around 2.5 days to get reviewed but I’ve also had 24hour reviews so you get an idea…
Once they’re approved you can change some details such as the description, bpm and others but changing the files, tags or title need a new review. I don’t know how long that one takes but I assume it’ll be quick.
Welcome! Sounds like you have a fantastic start to your “Royalty-Free” business and I look forward to hearing your work! The screening process generally takes no more than 1-2 business days. In reply to your question about exclusivity, I have found that the most successful (make the most $$) composers are the ones that focus on uploading exclusive content. I am pretty new and still learning the best ways to go to market with these tracks, but judging by what the “top authors” are doing, I’d say this is your safest bet! Again, welcome and best of luck to you!
Thanks Ruben and AGK. I’ve gone exclusive and waiting on my first upload. Finished another one today, do you think this would work ok for AJ? http://soundcloud.com/pedrocostamusic/head-over-heels
Definitely, you nailed it! A happy tune with ukulele, claps, whistle… seems to be what works better in AJ. Sounds great.
Yeah, it is not easy. The blockbusters here are the happy ukulele songs with claps, but there are very much of them here. Your seems perfect here, but you have to advertise it somehow to get in focus. It helps if you put the songs AJ link on your website, facebook, youtube…etc.
Thanks guys! So there is a self promotion element involved this then. So maybe setting up a different artist/company name with a separate website just for royalty-free would be a good idea?
Sure, including some really free stuff besides the AJ links. Let google find you! At first, most “small producers” are looking for free music to their videos.
