I’ve only just seen this. Did it get anywhere? We would be interested in making it happen if anyone wants to collaborate, or not. Just get in touch. Otherwise we might start from scratch and do it ourselves as I do think it’s a really great thing to have and something we personally could use regularly.

@turn90: I’m interested in helping code. Do you plan to make it Open Source or what?

Not thought too much about licensing and release type yet – but – I think free to the community would be a good thing to encourage collaboration. Depending on size of system and how much it can do for partners to make it easy maybe a small fee but I would like to just see it get done. What do you think?

Well, I’m actually interested in writing something useful. Open Source works, just look @ WordPress, MySQL, Red Hat, Apache, Subversion, Git, et al for examples.

Sounds a good idea. I think it could get wide spread adoption that way.

It would be grest to get the author community involved and we can make a really useful tool.

Is there any remains of this older plans or should start from scratch?

Just start from scratch.
  • Which PHP framework?
  • Which SCM? Git or SVN?
  • What about the license? AGPL, MIT, BSD, etc?

@CloneUI & @turn90 – please keep this on-topic, and discuss your own projects elsewhere – thanks.

I see your point, but I think if you’re going to discuss a new project, you should either start a new thread, or contact each other directly.

Hey guys,

We stopped working on this a while ago as Envato’s API was very limited back then.

If you guys wish to build something like this that’s Open Source, then I’d be willing to give you a hand :)

SamBerson, wouldn’t it be better for the structure of the forum if this new project was discussed on the same topic, following what was discussed already? Also, being something open source, it makes 100% sense for it to be discussed publicly rather then privately. It’s something for the community, by the community, right?

Best, Tiago
