I’m sorry I updated the ipad at this moment, the fricking thing has no youtube app – I used that a lot to watch documentaries and stuff – now I have to wait until google finishes the new standalone app.

Last time I tried it there were lots of clips not tweaked to support html5 thinghie. I will test it again.

Google released a Youtube app for the iPhone not sure if its iPad compatible though, haven’t downloaded it yet

Compared to the native iPhone app, I do agree it sucks, from lack of better words! But I see no other solution. There are other apps, but I’d rather stay with the one made by the developers!
