if so, which are your comments??
it has been a while i would like to buy it. I already have Garritan Orchestra and Kontakt 5 with its small VSL collection. I am tempted from GIO because it seem a quick a good way to create orchestrations, and it is specificlaly tailored for produciton music. so, given the extra income from selling royalty free music, i am thinking about how to spend the money… i don’t have a high budget and GIO could fit perfectly. but if you have any alternative let me know!
Checked it out, looks interesting. If you get it I’d be keen to hear what you think of it, as I am looking around for sample/orchestration libraries at the moment.
A couple of the demo songs sound a bit like ‘band in a box’. Might require some tweaking to get it to sound awesome!
IMO, it is a very playable library but, from a sound perspective, I find it lacking. The samples sound a bit thin to my ears. It is easy to use and you can get decent results in a short time frame, but I, personally, would not produce anything meant for sale on AJ with it. I have used it for demos with clients who needs something to hear quickly, but I always tell them in advance that it will sound like a demo.
I have sold several songs here made with GPO… and i would assume sound quality is not so different between GIO and GPO… is it wrong?
Bosone, I would think they would sound quite similar. If GPO works for you, I can’t imagine you would be disappointed with GIO. They just aren’t my cup of tea. If you are happy with the results you get with GPO, I would think you would like GIO as well.
Not sure if you have seen this thread on KVR, but it might be helpful.http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4771123
