We are all hoping IE8 will die, but the sad truth is it will not go away very soon. Even my parents use IE8 at home. I tried to sabotage them by installing Chrome but they did not want to use it :S

IE 8 is really old. IE 11 is about to be publicly released. I don’t see why IE 8 should still be supported. A lot of websites already adopted HTML5 and IE 8 is not capable of rendering HTML5.

Yes, some people are still using it. But I am sure they are using a really old computer AND are not willing to do a simple free upgrade/update. The majority of people are not like that. You can’t please everybody anyway.

You will find there are worryingly people who are just not aware of upgrading, too inexperienced and certain work/office environments that account for a fair amount of this

P.s. MOD this is an OLD thread and maybe worth locking up
