One of the sites that I take care of is showing strange results in google search. If I do a search like this

site:htt://mydomain.com

I get some relevant stuff but I have also been seeing hundreds of results for movie information. There are no movie posts on the site. So if you then click the link, it takes you to the site but displays a 404 page. Have you heard of this issue?

the site has been up for years. I have logged into google webmaster tools and I don’t see anything in there. How do you go about removing the bad stuff. How does it even get there in there in the first place?

Yeah, your website was hacked. I had the same error by allow shell access. I think my website was hacked by a wordpress plugin. - Step 1: Ask your hosting service to help scan and check your website - Step 2: Use robots.txt to add nofollow and noindex for 404 pages.

Your site has been attacked, its called ‘pharma hack’. You should also check your .htaccess file and see if any code has been added there. You can read more here: http://designsbyche.us/pharma-hack-on-wordpress/

I checked the site you posted and could not find anything in the article. I don’t think mine is the pharmahack. I show movie information when I google the site. All of the links lead to 404 pages.
