DoubleX saidI even find a video of my codecanyon script’s screen shots on youtube
For VideoHive and After Effects projects this is a common thing, you can find tons of websites copying previews and descriptions and reffering back to originals. On youtube you can find every project 2-5 times and always uploaded by a different person.
someone`s playing with the flag LOL
probably rippers ;/
Why are you upset that someone markets your items for free?
I don’t mind someone does that. For instance there is a guy…he wrote for one of my items such a nice review that he even increased my sales…most of my buyers come from his website. I don’t see why this should not be allowed, it’s marketing for free, as someone said above.
It doesn’t sound like anyone is interested in the drawbacks of these types of sites (splogs), so I’ll spare you the effort of flagging me again.
Anyway, it was just a simple question. I was under the impression that the referral system was to earn extra cash on YOUR OWN items.. I guess if Envato condones this sort of behavior, what’s stopping me from creating a link farm of Envato copies with my own ref link? It’s much easier than being creative and actually trying… In fact, I could create a dozen “high quality” splog sites quicker and with less effort than just 1 app submission.. Maybe I should..
Simple answer then: Yes. If by ripping you mean advertising new items on another site.
You don’t seem to understand the whole purpose of affiliate programs.
This is it: To award people for bringing traffic from external sites, resulting in sales that wouldn’t have been made without that referral.
That is the purpose of an affiliate program. The 30% motivates people who are good at advertising to attract customers to your items.
