I want to submit a theme on the marketplace. I have seen that many demos are under Themeforest domain while other demos are under the author’s website. Is Themeforest provides any system of placing our demo content in our Themeforest account itself.┬áPlease guide us.

Why some themes are previewing under link http://themeforest.net/item/...... And others under their own website link?

As far I know, you are not required to have live demo, however I believe live preview is essential if you are serious about selling your themes. As kaaz said, that’s just preview frame. Many authors are using custom preview frame because ThemeForest preview frame does not offer portfolio listing, also for better statistics and thanks to our preview frame we were able to find serveral template rips

You can buy the basic package for display demo content from any hosting provider. I bought hosting from “web hosting hub”. It is a good hosting provide.. I don’t face any problem till now.
