The download manager soft is not recommended, but my safari shows take more than 6 hours to download the theme_pack (size:17.7mb). and it’ll be start a new download if disconnected.

I mean how can I understand I need to spend hours to download a 17.7mb file, since, I am browsing ThemeForest.com with no one bit delay.

Is there no any way to increase the download speed?

What are your results when testing with a local server (near Zhejiang)? I might be wrong but I thought Envato used Amazon EC2 to distribute files so you shouldn’t be downloading it directly form their main offices (which are in Melbourne, not Sydney, by the way).

First of all, thank you Jami for answering my question. My local speed is wonderful, actually, I rare unsatisfied with my internet connection. Also this is the reason I feel the speed of downloading from TF is killing me. Anyway, appraciate your concern. And I might need to try it by different time or place.

It’s no problem. Glad to help.

But just to give you a point of reference, I just re-downloaded the 2010 Envato Birthday Bundle and the file is 36.5 MB. I would say my internet connection here in the Middle East is average (usually getting 10MB download, .70MB upload). Not extremely fast but not that slow either.

Downloading that file with Chrome takes me 39 minutes. I think that’s pretty reasonable for a 36.5 MB file.

That is about 15 KB/second, I can live with that. But currently, mine is 0.1 KB/second! It’s crazy.. :D

If the problem is going on tomorrow, I think a need to write a mail to somewhere. Is that possible you know someone that I could contact about this? Coz I’ve paid for this, and I need it for my site.

Like I said, I think it’s your connection, not Envato but feel free to submit a support ticket:

If I had to wait 39 minutes to download a 36.5 MB file… Oh… the download would’ve come packaged with a lot of hair pulling and anger. If I don’t download a 700mb avi in 1min30’’, I’m starting to worry myself. But hey, that’s Romania :P
