I was looking through the possible item attributes today and noticed that “JPG Image” is an option for “ThemeForest Files Included.” That one just seems a little funny to me. Are there buyers where that’s a requirement? Are there any themes that don’t include a JPG ? I was thinking of killing it (I’m a fan of a clean sidebar), but wanted to make sure I’m not missing something.

PS – Thanks dzinc :)

I’ve jpgs in all of my newsletter items but I don’t think it’s a killer feature.

Get rid of it!

There are even more funny things, for example the browser list.

For sure. It needs a serious cleaning. Any in particular that you think should go?

Yeah remove these (from WP themes upload): JPG Image, HTML Files, CSS Files, JS Files and PHP Files.

I dare you to show me a theme that doesn’t have those files. :)

How about just having the latest versions of all major browsers? :sing:

On the browser side.. probably no one tests multiple versions of a browser except IE. The rest are at the latest version.

Yes – there should not be ANY requirement to specify a browser version from the authors side. If you think about it, there are just so many versions of browsers it’s hard enough for you guys to keep up, let alone authors.

When somebody buys a template they should test the site in their own browsers. This was a good feature a few years ago but in today’s world, technology is advancing so fast that everything gets obsolete quickly.

Version numbers of browsers is a pain and never gets updated (in a timely manner) and makes products look like they don’t work on new versions therefore version numbers should be removed – in fact you should just have an input box for browsers supported and let users input that info so they can add versions if they want (or things like Safari iOS6+) but really they are not needed and should just be Firefox, Chrome, IE, Opera etc. if anything.
