It’s nice but the point of the website is to get the data fast, easy and understandable. Nobody wants to play a game to read the latest weather report.
It has the potential but for something else then just web design.
I think you can do some really cool things with help of 3D support. Think about an onlineshop. You could walk through the shop and maybe select some nice clothes and so on.
Of course you need a good internet connection but it makes shopping funny

It’s an interesting concept for games – casual browser based games but how many years have soo many different companies said that 3D is the future of the web – and nothing yet – we can’t even remove ourselves from the constraints of IE6 hahaha how the heck will we get to this level – not to mention this is probably running on some current not available for consumption super machine running the latest $800 graphics card.
Nah I say – if 3D worked for information we would already have had 3D desktops for 10 years – but we don’t.
And can you imagine all those glorious MySpace pages in 3D… oh I feel sick…
