(Locked) Issues When Making Payments with PayPal?

I’m having the same problem. Seriously, how much money must you guys be loosing?

I’m having the same problem. Seriously, how much money must you guys be loosing?

Had a customer contact me recently to ask if he could buy something directly from me because of this issue. Sadly because of my exclusive agreement I said no. But just wanted to chime to reiterate that this issue doesn’t seem to be resolved.

I do a whole lot of ecommerce, both on the shopping end, as well as owning several ecomm sites.

I can tell you that this is f’ed, no question about it.

Paypal is notorious for being unreliable, unpredictable, and having poor support. It’s easy to set up a real payment gateway to a real bank. There is no excuse not to do it.

I spent hours on trying to get them my money. Used mobile site, different networks, e-mailed Paypal (to no avail of course), sent a ticket to Themeforest (no response, of course), sent a tweet to the developer (who can’t deal with me directly, unfortunately).

And you probably know, for every one person complaining, there are 50+ who just give up, never say a word.

We’ve solved our problem elsewhere, quite a while back if you’ve been following this thread. However, I’ve stayed subscribed, just to see how long something like this will go on. This problem has become a JOKE Themeforest!

As big as your are, you have absolutely no excuse for being unable to take control of the problem and your own payment gateway. You’re losing dedicated customers, that seldom looked elsewhere, ourselves included… and you are continuing to do so every day this continues.

I find it hard to believe that this has gone on this long with no apparent concern on from the MANAGEMENT of Themeforest! I personally have lost a great deal of trust and respect in you and I’m positive I’m not the only one here. As hnsight_the pointed out above, we’re just the few dedicated customers that cared enough to bitch about it here. Or we’re here for our client’s sake, or because of a developer we like, most people have long moved on.

Seriously, who are you guys? We thought you were pretty tech savvy. You look like you have your shit together. But right now, at least to most of us here, you really look pretty lame! Are paypal and moneybookers really the best solution you can come up with for something this size?

People, contact your developers, they need to be kept abreast of this situation as well. They put a lot of time and work into their product and have more to lose here than anyone else. Trust me, those I have been in contact with are concerned and it’s obvious by this thread, that it’s going to take more than us bitching about Themeforest, to move Envato to a real solution.

Was trying to purchase a theme today via paypal but the payment was not processed. I do hope they resolve this is as this means bad business for themeforest and its loyal developers

Need help. Please. I’m a ThemeForest user, I purchesed some items with no problem by PayPal and now I can’t. This is the message I received: “Your purchase of (the name of the theme) – Responsive WordPress Magazine / Blog was unable to be processed by PayPal. Please try using a different credit card, or we also support Moneybookers deposits.” What should I do? I don’t want to wait for wrrks for a Moneybookers account and I red that making a deposit by PayPal won’t help when I got this error already
