I get the feeling most people that buy items on here, especially WordPress themes, don’t realize that if they extract the zip folder there are documentation files within.

It would be ideal, if possible, so in the user’s “downloads” section for each item there is a download link for the item as well as a download link for the documentation.

This would also help a lot with people that don’t know how to install their themes (the famous style-sheet is missing error) as they will hopefully download and read the documentation first (fingers crossed).

I’m sure this has been brought up before and it’s somewhat of a “luxury”, but if sellers could spend a less time with unnecessary support questions, they can focus on creating more awesome stuff 8-)

Wonderful idea! One link only for theme in zip. Another link for zip with all other stuff.

Good idea, but considering there are already so many items existing with different types of help doc, PDF , plain text, or HTML mini sites, it will not be feasible I believe. An alert on the download link stating “please unzip/extract the content first” will work better. Or may be in the email which is sent after purchase, though not sure if buyers really read that email.

Why don’t include a “dummy theme” into the package to explain everything to the buyer when he/she uploads the download instead of the theme package. I’ve mentioned this in a previous thread
