Anyone got any good tips for item promotions – is there any showcase websites or anything perhaps?

I’m trying to drive a bit more traffic to my items, I’m considering creating a full blown site to showcase them as I’m wondering if that would help…

Yeah I bet that would help a lot – having a own website to showcase your work is very vital. Also I would suggest you to submit your work to various directories – especially css galleries. I, for myself, would also make a kind of “Press Kit” for every theme since there are many out there who are looking for themes to showcase to earn referals. May also consider to have a Twitter Account and use it for your self-promotion. The same goes for a Facebook Fan Page. And finally buying some ads would also drive some traffic to your items.

Do you guys know of any good directories to submit your work to? I already use Creaticca but I could do with some extra promotion etc to drive a bit more traffic.

Yeah I used Creatica, that drove a little bit.

I have my own Personal Website and I get some traffic throught since Themeforest stopped doing Tutorials I’ve not written any – when I wrote some of those I used to get a tonne of traffic :-)
