I noticed the new items don’t validate, is that no longer a requirement?
depends on what part isnt validating if its css3/html5 stuff then it should be fine, if its like missing tags or something then i dont know maybe.
Well for example duplicate IDs, closing tags that don’t have anything to close, and some other stuff like that.
Its has to be valid for the HTML /CSS template but not necessary for the WP as wordpress is mostly generated code from shortcodes, visual editor etc.. which its not always valid!
@Ivor can you confirm what @wizylabs said? Do themes have to be W3C valid?
Some errors make no sense for example in an input tag it says it is missing a p attribute.
an input element is an inline element, and needs to be in a block element. I believe a div would work just aswell.

That’s strange, i never got that error, for which item does it say that?
