My item has been soft rejected, so I’m trying to upload the fixed item. Unfortunately, the Beta upload has never worked for me for the Main zip file, and since the ‘EDIT’ part also has a Bet-style upload, it doesn’t work either. How on earth do I upload the final file? Its about 5.5 MB, if that matters.

Well, when I click upload and select the zip file, one of two things happen: Either:

-After a delay of about 30seconds, it says “Error(0%)” and that’s the end

-It says “Uploading” and goes from 0 to 100% in about 5 seconds(impossible at my connection speed) and then says “Processing” for about 30 seconds, then says “Saved”. However, the file isn’t available as an option in the dropdown. I’ve tried everything, from clearing the cache to changing browsers to Chrome – to no avail.

How strange. I don’t think the others have experienced this problem. However, I am aware of a weird little bug when uploading to the JS category.

Are you positive that you’re uploading a zip file, and not a .rar? Have you created a support request (located in the sidebar of this page)?

Of course I’m not uploading a RAR ..lol. Thing is, this happens only for the Main zip file. Other files9Thumbnail, HTML preview, Screesnhots uploaded fine)

I haven’t created a support request.

Also, since this doesn’t look like it’ll be resolved for a while, can I upload the file via Classic Upload and ask the reviewer to reject it, so that the file is available in the dropdown box?

Here’s a screencast showing what happens:

http://screenr.com/vE8

First, I click upload and select the file. It goes from 0% to 100% in 5 seonds, then ‘Processes’ for 20-odd seconds, then says Saved. However, it doesn’t show in the dropdown list. I refresh the page, and voila! the file has disappeared.

Very weird…have you tried renaming the file to something shorter? What software did you use to zip the file?

I use WinRAR to zip it. I’ve even tried naming it to “UCfile” – doesn’t work. I’ve re-uploaded the file..thats the only solution I could think of, seeing that ‘Edit’ doesn’t work.

Humm…I use 7zip, never had a problem. It’s free…maybe as a last resort you could also give it a try?

Thank, everyone. I’ll pass this info on to my boss. Hopefully, it’s just a weird glitch that will be fixed early next week.
