There are authors who buy their competitors’ theme to rate it 1
Buyers who purchase a template thinking it was a theme and rate it 1
Buyers who don’t even take the time to read the documentation and rate it 1
It’s really becoming frustrating to get unjustified 1 star ratings therefore what we’re proposing is that when a buyer rates a theme under 3 stars he/she should justify the reason by selecting among a list of radio buttons / check boxes + the possibility to add a comment (or by including a sub-rating based on documentation, customization flexibility, number of bugs…)
We really wish Envato can do something about this, Thanks in advance for your feedback,
+1 This has been suggested plenty of times before!

thanks guys for your feedback, hope this changes soon

is envato going to do something about this unjustified ratings, it’s really becoming annoying, we need a short term solution for example:
- raising the minimum of 3 votes to 10 votes, this would already provide a more efficient rating overview
- being able to see who rated the template/theme
- creating justified radio/checkbox options with the possibility from authors to report abuse
Hello uouapps. The ratings system is still very much in beta and will continue to be worked on. Please contain your comments to one thread rather than cutting and pasting your replies across multiple threads. Thanks!
Thank you for your reply, do you have any idea when the first changes will take place? in the meantime are we allowed to report an unjustified rating ? (i apologize on behalf of the team for the multiple threads, it’s just that we’ve been waiting for various feedbacks from the Envato staff but only members were writting) Cheers UOU Apps
