I've hit a wall..

I started designing a template this morning to try eventually submit as a html template, but ive hit a wall.. i feel the design needs something to give it more umph.. if you know what I mean. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is a good start. My only comment is to change the font style for the body copy. Probably change it to something more readable. That font-type looks good on the heading, but not on body copy. IMO .

Thanks! do you mean change it to something like helvetica or arial, or find a custom font to replace to one im using.

I’ve also added a few changes since I posted this, what do you think?

I agree with population2 about the body font, I’d change it to arial. The new version you posted already looks very good and complete, just missing the usual twitter/fb/rss images. good job!

I’m afraid it won’t be approved because it looks just like other themes there. Add some details, add uniqueness. Also I don’t really like the custom font, it’s not the top-quality one, but it’s just IMHO .

Same as Denoizzed really, nothing unique and you also need to work on hierarchy and typography.

I’d also suggest not using font replacement on body text, just use it for headings.

It’s still lacking a lot graphically, also the typography still needs work, just looks bland and boring.

Is it just me, or is the letter spacing in the “Customer Testimonial” Section too far spread out?

Yeh it is. i didn’t notice that I had increased the letter spacing on all the type, so I tightened that up a bit and change some things. Not too sure about the new header.. Also still not keen on the font for the headers. What you think of the new changes?
