I've looked everywhere..

I’ve looked on oDesk, RentaCoder, and many other sites where people do tons of free lance work. I am stepping up and willing to pay someone some very good money for some good work.

I need someone that if very familiar with XHTML , CSS, AJAX , specifically jQuery. We have mockups for three different areas of our site that need to be coded (cross browser compatible). Here is some info on what we’re using:

Backend: Lighttpd, Apache, PHP , MySQL FrontEnd: XHTML , CSS, AJAX , Adobe Flex (Desktop Application) Frameworks: jQuery, FancyBox, Smarty Scripts: WordPress 2.9, vBulletin 4.0.2, aMember 3.1.9PRO Custom Applications: stockguy22 Flex Application, Virtual Trading Floor, areaPNL

One of the mockups must be turned in to a WordPress theme. Right now we use PageLines iBlogPro4 – as nice as it is, we can’t customize it too much for our needs.

We have two custom web applications right now that serve out information to our subscribers. One of those is our Virtual Trading Floor. It is a live updated platform (AJAX/jQuery with a lot of polling going on) that grabs information through a MySQL database, and that data comes from an Adobe Flex application.

So that being said, two mockups will be for our custom web applications.

I apologize for that, but I have added you to GTalk. I actually went to that free lance website and found someone local, but still interested in one more person for jQuery stuff.

Just wanted to come back to this. I did use Freelanceswitch … no bueno. The guy totally screwed me over, took my deposit, and ran. I waited 3-4 weeks, no results. No call back, he pretty much disappeared.

Probably the last time I try and find a free lancer…

That’s just bad press for the rest of us freelancers (we’re not all like that, I promise! )
There must be some protection against this… have you told FreelanceSwitch about it?
I know for a fact they wouldn’t find that acceptable and would do their best to help you!
Well, the best idea in the future is to go with someone who has at least a portfolio or some sort of a reputation, be it on Themeforest/Codecanyon or somewhere else. It can work both ways as well, some clients are just as untrustworthy, if you do your homework and find out they have no online presence at all it’s best to go somewhere else with your business
