Okay, so I am still not receiving any feedback on why this was rejected. Compared to the other two sites I submitted here, now I see why those were too far gone to receive feedback. One thing I am wondering if it has something to do with the files I am submitting, like the Theme Preview for example. What all are you supposed to place in the Theme Preview and Thumbnail file?

Anyway here is the photography website, I still can make adjustments if I need to.

If you’d like to post a link to your item to get feedback or discussion on how to improve it, it must be posted in the “Item Discussion” section of the forums.

Sorry to say – what you have to upload is not your issue. The design and site is a long way from the standard required to reach the marketplace here.

We cannot really make a list of all that is not right because its too much.

The best advice we can give is to look at existing themes that sell well for inspiration and consider what they offer. You will never get a detailed feedback from a reviewer if it is hard rejected because there is simply too much for them to cover.

Good luck

The exact same advice I got last time. Must have been a copy and paste. Also, if the design is “bad” then tell me why? Saying something is bad does not constitute a valid critique. Also from what I have read on here, it must not take much to be qualified to sell templates on here since many agree most designs are carbon copies of one another.

As you’re not taking the hint

Everything looks awful, I wouldn’t download this if this was free, due to there being many more better free templates out there.

They might be carbon copies but they’re carbon copies of good websites

As Ben rightfully said – people on here have complained that sites/themes look too similar – not that they are poorly designed or coded.

If you really want critique then:
- The logo is poor
- the header and navigation font does not really work
- there are a number of errors in the code
- generally the typography, alignment (especially of images) and spacing is totally off
- hierarchy issues
- the mixture of fonts throughout is weak
- portfolio slider does not have the bottom image frame
- the icons on the about page you have not even bothered to use a clean or proper email icon.

Sorry for being harsh but i am afraid it is not up to marketplace standard or otherwise.

Good luck with your work in the future.

Sorry if i am harsh but if i were you i would start all over because no matter what you do to this template it will not get accepted. Try to look at some of the themes on TF to get an idea of what is expected for quality and functionality.

Cheers

Lester

no, no copy paste. copy paste means you got some awesome website and copied everything and your design looks similar/the same but at least it looks great like the original

in your case there are so many bad things in that design that we can’t even start to provide suggestion. The only thing I can say is scrap it and take some time to browse some nice websites to get yourself the idea what is accepted as good design these days

Also, if the design is “bad” then tell me why? Saying something is bad does not constitute a valid critique.

I will use the following example:

you design is like this:

what you need to get accepted

take this with a bit of salt. you just need more knowledge of webdesign.
