Hello, im asking about creating JAVA Category, yes i know, there was java category at begining, but i guess it was deleted because of lack of activity, but my question is, maybe it would be good to take it into consideration to create it once again?
For example me, Im java developer,I really would like to sell some of my work.
Also maybe someone can answer about similar qustion, but releated with Tutorials Marketplace, whats about tutorials about JAVA language? Or applications for mobile phones (but not androids etc, standard ones in this case)
Thanks.

Personally, I think it’s a great idea to have a Java category, so I’ll +1 this

The past has shown us that there are not much buyers for this category.
I think it will cost Envato more to keep this category running than they earn from it.
So my vote: -1

Ah, good counter.
Cost? Cost what?
I really can’t understand your point.

Sitebase is right. CodeCanyon did use to have a Java category. It just quite didn’t pick up.
And regarding the costs, there are quite a few really: you’ll have to hire reviewers, ask the devs to set up everything for the new category, bandwidth, marketing and so on. If Envato [and Jeffrey] decided to shut down the category, I’m a 100% sure they had concrete reasons.

Hey guys -
Yeah, we had a Java category when CodeCanyon first launched, but pretty much nobody submitted to it.
Unfortunately, I don’t think Envato has a large Java-based following.
You cannot have a Java-based following without a Java category. CodeCanyon looks a bit Microsofty to me, but seems a lot more serious than anything else out there. I have some Java code to sell. With a Java category, CodeCanyon would be an easy choice. As it is, I’ll just have to keep looking, I guess.

I beg your pardon!? There’s not a single thing on CC that’s “MS”!
Just look at the footer. A whole load of copyrighted names and not one MS related.
