No, he didn’t quit. The change was a forward looking thought by the “big boys” and will serve to better both marketplaces with additional attention.
I’m sure you’ll get a full explanation on the situation soon, so don’t fret. BTW , welcome back Mark!

Hey guys.
It’s true…but not quite yet. I’m still the ThemeForest manager for the next 2-4 weeks. I didn’t quit, but I do need to focus more exclusively on CodeCanyon, now that it’s beginning to take off. The only problem is that there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to focus full-time on both ThemeForest AND CodeCanyon (and Nettuts). So, I’m literally porting over all of my TF hours to CodeCanyon, in order to make that marketplace as awesome as this one.
Mark, who also runs VideoHive, will be taking over for me—and I’ll be working closely with him over the course of the next month to make the transition as smooth as possible. In fact, Mark was our site templates reviewer when we first launched. Some of you might remember!
I’ll still be around often though. I’m hoping that CC’s upcoming CSS and WordPress Plugins category will send a bunch of you over that way more frequently—as authors AND buyers.
Good luck Jeffrey.

I think I speak for a lot of us, Jeff, when I say thanks for leading TF to where it is today. Couldn’t have done it without you.
Not that you’re leaving us, but I’m sure you’ll rock it out of the park with CodeCanyon as you’ve done in the past.
P.S. That Mark guy is crazy but he has an awesome dog so I guess I approve. (kidding, we’re more than thrilled to have you Mark!)

Oh the good’ol days! Now I need to put together a new item for Mark to review it just like when I started at ThemeForest.
I so thought I was getting the job… :’(
back to flipping burgers and burning my face-off in fryer oil…

good luck Mark! and I am pretty sure that Jeffrey is going to keep the great work with CodeCanyon just as he did with ThemeForest. The only thing I disagree with Mark is that he said is pretty crazy at Video Games xD
