It’s pretty crazy, the first time someone has consecutively rebooted the 2 biggest sci fi franchises! I hope he does as well with Star Wars as he did with Star Trek. The 2 are quite different beasts after all.

It’s a pretty predictable choice from Disney, very safe, very ‘Disney’.
Of far more interest is the fact that Disney chose the writer of ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ and ‘Toy Story 3’ to write the screenplay. It all starts at the script, and choosing Michael Arndt gives me a little more optimism.
