I’ve never actually installed Joomla, just trying to be helpful, here’s the Joomla 3+ install guide;

Hi smithy200,

You might want to install the Quickstart Package (not only the template).
If you install only the template (over the default Joomla) you will need to install each and every Extension that is installed on the demo site of the template you have purchased and you will need to configure each and every Extension as it is configured in the Quickstart Package/Demo Site so you can have your site looks like the demo site.

Quickstart = Joomla CORE Files + Template + Extensions + Database

Most of the customers purchase Joomla templates because of the Quickstart Package… they install it and then simply replace the demo content with theirs.
Installing the Quickstart Package is the same as installing the default Joomla.

You should find the Installation Instructions in the Documentation that comes with the Template. When you download your ZIP file from Themeforest you need to UNZIP it first and there you should find a “Documentation” folder or something similar. Please read it first.

Once you have done the above, just upload the content of the “Quickstart” folder to your server/hosting using an FTP client and perform the installation. Make sure you have the correct Database details (Database name, Database user, Database user password, Database host if different than “localhost”). If you are not sure about the Database details you can always contact the Hosting Support.

If none of the above helps, the best thing to do would be to contact the Author of the template :)
