Hello,

the other day I made this little jquery plugin for helping me with vertical rhythm in my designs. I know there are some add-ons for firefox that do the same thing, however this should work in all major browsers.

Javascript code: (add it as a script tag or directly into the html)

http://pastie.org/951482

Usage: call the plugin with desired line-height value, in this example it’s 24:

$(function () {$.grider(24);});

Use following keys:
  • esc – show/hide the grid
  • up – move up 1px
  • down = move down 1px
    • Enjoy ;)

I use hashgrid, copied it to my site and two simple lines of code. Press g to activate it, ctrl + G toggles it.
