Just a quick audiojungle author survey.

So I was wondering about the audiojungle authors and to what extent everybody would classify themselves as music composers: hobbyists, semipro (part time), full time.

I personally work a full time job in the music industry but not as a composer. I do quite a bit of music projects on the side in my free time, as well as a limited amount of time with audiojungle. I’d love to devote more time here but currently other projects are more lucrative.

I do quite a bit of music projects on the side in my free time, as well as a limited amount of time with audiojungle. I also have a spare-time job working with kids.

For me, this is a very interesting site, but it is very easy to be forgotten among all those other great authors here.

I would classify myself as a semi-pro at the moment. I have a fulltime job in the music biz besides this and I really love that aswell, but I hope to become a pro music composer somewhere in the next 5 years or so.

I compose, produce and record music full-time. In my free hours I write music for my Audiojungle accounts. On Audiojungle I’m not extremely successful, but I can’t complain. It’s a game of consistency and patience

Audiojungle is a creative substitute to procrastination and gaming and helps me learn my sample libraries. I do music full time in other capacities.

My day job is as a software engineer, and I record music at night or on the weekends when I get a chance. I’d put myself somewhere between hobbyist and semi-pro. I think I have a long way to go in learning the entire composition/arrangement/recording/mixing/mastering/promotion process before I feel I can have any title that includes the word “pro” in it

Thats also the problem on my side. I love to create music for Audiojungle, as i do here “just what i want to do”, instead of having to deliver a certain style or product at the end. But this is a t the same time the reason, why my music is not so lucrative here on AJ, because if one would more concentrate on “whats on demand”, you could make more money. But then again, maybe we loose the fun aspect then as well

Whatever, i enjoy everytime when i have time to do something for AJ and see it even sells a few times.

I consider myself as a semi-pro. Always take the opportunity to express how grateful I am to AudioJungle because it gives us the opportunity to professionalizing. I work 10 nights a month at a pharmacy to get the rest of the time to devote to writing music. I also do dance and electronic music and participate in a collective of musicians in Barcelona

Since 1994 i work fulltime running a sound studio & consulting & selling Company for audio equipment, computers and Software. I do workshops for recording, mixing & mastering but a lot of mixing, + arranging for customers too. So from that point od view î’m a pro, but not with writig Music.
And of course i don’t live from making music for audiojungle (yet?), but i would like to do it more! But for this i need to earn much much more. Living in switzerland is very expensive.. i think when it looks like i sell a lot and make a lot of money, it’s sadly not that much worth in switzerland like in all other countries. Because of this i do other studio jobs in my studio. But the more AJ runs, the more i will be able to invest. And i really am ready, so much fun here!! So a similar Situation like SonicCube…. (similar Country )
