I tried to upload the theme in .zip format…several times, that would not work. Then I went and extracted the Karma theme to a folder on my computer. I uploaded all 72MB of the data to my server and yes, I put it in the right place: WP-Content __> Themes, etc. Then I wento into my WP-Admin area to activate the newly installed Karma Theme only to have it tell me that while the theme installed, that the install was incomplete and that the stylesheet was missing.

Sooooo, then I went back in and via FTP manually reinstalled the CSS folder and then when it still said that the stylesheet was missing…I went back in and manually uploaded the specific stylesheet within the CSS folder and guess what? IT STILL DOESN ’T WORK ! I paid for this premium theme and so far anyhow I can’t even use it?!

Can some please help with this one as I did everything right and it just will not work.

Watch the video and it will work, this theme has over a thousand downloads so it does work. You only need to spend some time and have some patience while installing and setting up a complex theme.

And please be nice, this is the best way to receive help.

glossycat isn’t selling you anything lol. Sounds like you are uploading the entire folder you downloaded from ThemeForest which includes PSD files, Documentation, and the WP files. You are supposed to upload only the WordPress files (It should only be a few MBs, nowhere near 72MB).

Check this article for more help (This is the link from glossycat btw):

Not to be rude but this is a user error on your part. Don’t worry though, it’s an easy fix.

Hey that’s not a good attitude to someone who tries to help you, young man. ;) If you don’t have good words to say, don’t say anything.. Follow the guide from his given link and at least say “kthxbye”.

Gary, you aren’t supposed to upload all 72mb of the archive from TF. The main template itself is pretty small—a fraction of the full size. As the people above me are saying, please read the documentation. It’ll dictate which part specifically to upload to the server.
