I don’t think any rules were changed other than splitting the contest in two and giving away TWO mac mini. Isn’t that right?

Yup, and i think noone has a problem with that :)

I think samss100 is talking about the pricing issue.

I did change two rules as we went:

  • We split the comp to have more prizes …
  • Initially it said the the original price would be used, but we dropped it because I got so many complaints after we changed file pricing on the site

Both changes were to make a better competition. I think Sams might be referring to the number of video colour combinations allowed? I don’t know, but don’t forget it does say that file approval is still up to the flashden staff and that sort of thing falls under that category.

Nonetheless, I apologize for making some rule changes, I evidently need more experience with running competitions :-) I never realised they got so intense!

Still it’s all very exciting, exactly one month to go today!

moreover i want to know elaborately on how you spilt the comp to have more prizes? Is there now three comp one for flash, one for video and one for font&audio?

The competition was split in two: audio files and flash/video files. This is because competing with audio files was unlikely to happen for any flash or video author.

What this means is FlashDen agreed to add another MAC so that both type of files have a chance to win. Now there will be two winers, one for audio and one for video/flash.

Q1: So how many MAC are given away 2 or 3 ? Q2: Are there now three categories of competition 1st(flash), 2nd(video), 3rd(audio&font) ? or flash & video are still clubbed together ?

pls clear my doubts..

Personally I think the Video category should move to the Audio & Fonts category ;)

I think next time, if, there should be three categories.

1- Flash+Fonts

2- Video

3- Audio
