hey,

Im going on holiday soon, and it seems strange but i want to take a book/video for learning PHP , im not a beginner but i learnt when PHP 4 was out and i dont know OOP and the best practices of stuff so i want to fix that…

so i was wondering if anyone can recommend any websites/videos/books that i can get for holiday.

yh, i seen that i also downloaded the courses from tutsplus and i have downloaded JeffreyWay’s oop code videos, just need to get as much content as possible.

the thing is with Jeffrey Way’s WP video is it does not show how to make plugins you would see sold here (where it has its own menu system, pages, settings)

It does, see chapter “Options and Settings APIs”. ( Adding an Options Page )

Also make sure you check wp.tutsplus.com. :)

yh, i watched it all… some of it i can use the register settings bit, but i want the settings in the plugin menu….. you have a awesome plugin in for wordpress (the envato stats one), how did you learn?

and yh wp.tutsplus.com has some good stuff.
