Hello ! I am 13 years old… (yes, yes…) and i am really experienced with html and some basic css. I am asking for your help. I already watched tons of tutorials and really want to improve my skills as a web designer and i soooo happy that i found Envato. At this moment i earned only $235 from web design and i really feel i can do more. My question(s) for you is(are): How do you learned ? How it was for you at the very begining ? Where do you learned from (especially CSS ) ? What should i learn now? I still belive in my dream. Even if some of you will think i am too young. Belive me, i am not as noob as you may think. Hope you can help me out guys
You’ve come the to right place. The envato tutorial network is a great place to get started with sites like webdesign.tutsplus.com. Once you’ve picked up the basics you should head over to Lynda.com (sorry if I’m not allowed to mention them mods) and progress from there. You should also check out some of the files the tutorials marketplace has to offer.
Now you have your dream, follow it.

Thank you a lot ! I already read most of the tutorials on webdesigntuts+ and nettuts+... as I said.. i am not a beginer. Now i want a new “objective”... i mean, what should i do now ? Improve my css, learn js.. i really don’t know what Thank again man ! Anyone with some other advices?
You “next objective” should be to improve your css as much as you can then start js, then using jQuery with it … After that move on to php and Wordpress. The world if your oyster.
Oh and no problem, happy to help.
I was 12 when I started.
Age is not a problem, just keep learning. I’d suggest first trying it out on crowdsourcing (Even if it’s the worst thing to do, crowdsourcing as it is now is bad.) and build up experience, then switch to a more ‘professional’ environment.
Dribbble – the way to go. Why? Looking at gorgeous and beautiful design sets your mind to do such designs, unconsicously you’ll do it too, atleast..you’ll try to!
But the key is really keep practicing. More people learn fast, others learn really slow…you’ll find your way anyways.
PS: My past 4 years were spent with 6-7 hours of sleep/night or even less..the rest of the time would be learning about everything I could, so I was on turbo mode. (I kind of only got into web design ~2 years ago, 4 years into design.)
Takes a lot of effort and dedications, that’s for sure.
If you want to learn HTML and CSS , a great place to start is http://learncss.tutsplus.com/
