I am wondering. Are we allowed to include lesscss.js on our themes it uses apache 2 license but i am little confused.

Personally, I would go with http://leafo.net/lessphp/, to avoid javascript dependancy. LessPHP is dual licenced, MIT /GPL.

Original lessphp strips comments, so I edited lessc.inc.php with option to keep comments in output (e.g. $lc->stripComments=FALSE;) :
