I love the logo – it’s so simple! Don’t change anything in layout, please!

From all points my polish friend Rzepak suggested, I agree only with emails when someone is leaving comment under my item.

instead of emailing notifications about comments use the RSS feed.

drop that badboy into your rss reader of choice and you’re good to go.

Hey guys,

The buyers list won’t be happening as we believe it is a breach of the customer’s privacy.

It’s something that is discussed fairly often over at flashden, most recently it came up in this thread

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on that particular feature :(

It is great to see everyone get in their suggestions though, the development team read all of the envato forums as often as we can to find ideas for new features so keep them coming.

Now you can see different variations of one template, like HTML , WordPress etc. versions based on the same template. And each version has their own item page where are previews, information and comments.

And PSD caterogy is coming in one week. So that’s plus one for most of the templates.

So my idea is, that you guys connect all the versions to just one item page, and from there you can choose which version to buy.

Example: - Html (includes .PSD) – $15 - WordPress (no .PSD) – $25 - WordPress + PSD – $30 - Just PSD – $10 etc.

Buyer just clicks one of them and buys it. And still you can find that template from HTML Templates and WordPress categories, because when you upload a new item, you just mark what versions it contains.

On item page, first on some general information and then one sub tab for every version for detailed information.

Just my two cents!

@kuimu: I don’t think the dev team will start again creating databases only to get different hierarchy. Although not a bad idea, but what we have already on TF works great and I don’t see why to change it.

Yes I know that, and I didn’t expect that idea to come true right now, but just an idea for coming site versions of ThemeForest.

I’m just saying, that when there are 2-5 items of the same design, it’s going to be a mess to buyer to find the right one. And there isn’t a smart way to create a 2-in-1 package to sale.

But TF is working good now as it is, and I’m happy with it and I trust that devs know what they’re doing and they develop site to make it even more better place in year 2009! :)

Just for your information, users have asked from me to convert my templates to these versions(not even counting HTML and PSD ):

1. WordPress
2. Joomla
3. Flash
4. PhpBB
5. Blogger
6. Drupal

So that makes… 8 versions? So I think 2 version is more than “maybe”.

oh, sorry I thought about different templates with same design, forgot we were talking about categories here. I’m sitting too much in front of the computer :)
