Hi,

I’m a self taught freelance designer. I have made a few wordpress sites for myself using various theme bought on themeforest.

I have been asked to create a few sites for small businesses in my area. Just small brochure and basic sites. To earn some extra i want to do this on the side and charge a small amount for my time.

Here is my question:

If i was to buy a theme for $45, am i then allowed to use the theme to build a site for a client and charge them, lets say $150, or do i need an extended license for this?

Also, once i have used that theme for that client 1, im guessing i can’t then charge another client for it…but could i buy say a different theme for another $45 then use that for client 2 site and charge them $150 and so on????

  1. You need normal (cheaper licence)
  2. You can only use the theme bought form here on one site
  3. For each extra site, you have to buy additional licence
  4. You can repeat above steps as many times as you want
  5. You can charge any amount for your work

Thanks OriginalEXE, much appreciated.

on number 3, when you say “addition licence” – Do you just mean another standard cheap licence for every live domain?

For example:

If i buy a theme for $45 and create www.A1.com for one client….

But then i build www.B2.com for another client, i jut have to buy another standard $45 licence….?

I dont have to pay the extended $2200 licence right ?

Exactly, you just purchase the same (cheaper) licence again for another website/client.
