I don’t see how this is different from using photodune pictures in item preview. To me, one regular license per item preview is fine because there’s no redistribution.

Updating/creating all your previews at once could be considered a single project. Similarly to how someone buys a graphic and uses it on multiple pages on their website. But it’s murky water so unless we got an official response to that it’s probably best to play it safe.

Thank you for your message to Envato support. Only if you receive permission from that author and purchase an Extended License can you use a marketplace file in your own marketplace file http://graphicriver.net/licenses/faq#faq-section-author
But I am afraid they did not understand that I wish to use the graphicriver item as thumbnail image, not included in another item.
@danycode: please share with us the answer you receive, if possible. I am still confused whether I can or not use the graphicriver item in a preview of a codecanyon item.

My question:If for example i use a single a graphicriver item in 3 of my codecanyon items ( only in the marketplace preview image ) i have to buy 3 time the same item with standard license or 1 standard license is enough?Envato Support Centre:
If you would like to use the graphic in your marketplace preview image, then you’ll need to purchase a Regular License. It’s important to note that the graphic should not be included in your file’s download package. You would need a regular license for each use of the Graphicriver item. Photodune allows multiple uses if you plan to use those as well but Graphicriver does not.
