actually, now I listen all of genre and all of music. I grew up and went away from “genre nazi” like every kids are. So shut up and enjoy the music!

Pretty much it.

hahaha you funny guy! I also listen to a wide variety of music but that doesn’t mean I can’t get hooked on bands for days/weeks/months :) You must have some favourite artists, albums or tracks?

Dire Straits. Led Zeppelin. AC/DC. Eagles. Supertramp. Christopher Cross. David Foster. William Orbit. Peter Gabriel. Chicago. Jan Hammer. Fleetwood Mac. Michael Jackson. Split Enz. Eric Clapton. Tina Turner. Rodriguez. Queen. Van Halen. Bon Jovi. Ramones. Beatles. Beach Boys. Elvis. and recently Owl City. I love them all. Mostly I love Mark Knopfler though… he’s extraordinary.

I never get sick of hearing any of them and all create a good mood for me. Could listen non-stop to the lot on endless repeat and never be bored.

Once in awhile I get on a U2 kick… In my younger days, I listened to Pearl Jam Ten, and Vs. every time I drove my car… I wore out both cassettes…. yes cassettes!!!
Cassettes!? Only kidding. Pearl Jam Ten, I have that on CD still (yes I’m a CD era kid ha) Used to have the fold out album sleeve on my wall. I did record my first band demos on to tape though with a 4 track recorder back in 2003/2004 :)

Ha! yes, my car only had a cassette player and the car was too crappy to invest in a CD player… they were expensive in the 90’s!! I have really been feeling old lately… The best part of a cassette is when the heat makes the tape stretch and you get a weird pitch warble/ smear sound… too funny…

I have been considering another cheap 4-track tape machine. Iron and Wine recorded his first record on one. It’s hard to match that vibe with more than 4 tracks. It really causes you to make decisions!

I’ve done so with new album releases of the Arctic Monkeys and the Eels on numerous occasions ;)

Btw, this thread is a great way to find more artists to look for on Spotify! Thanks!
