Hi everyone! In a word – no, – authors aren’t allowed to sell ‘lite’ versions. You can sell the same theme design for multiple platforms, but not for the same platform with different features. I’ll have someone investigate why the item you’re talking about was approved. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! :)

I’ve also seen this happening last year, an item released without WooCommerce followed by a version with WooCommerce two months later.

This is newly lunched wordpress theme. http://themeforest.net/item/startup-wordpress-theme/6573488?WT.ac=category_item&WT.seg_1=category_item&WT.z_author=pixum I have checked this author’s profile and he has featured item which includes woocommerce & buddypress. And this new does not support these features and he calls it as lite version.

I don’t want to appear inpatient but I’m wondering why this is taking over 2 hours to disable an item that’s against the rules?

An example being, I had an item up for sale for months and then a complaint about spacing issues on a contact form used on a page template not for a contact form (one was provided just for this) that was removed for sale quicker than this – I then had to wait 2 days to get the item back on sale.

Things just don’t seem that well prioritized lately.

Jonathan
