Having a file that has just been rejected according to the new standards, I believe there will be many rejections and a lot of questions. Maybe I didn’t get right, but seems that unless an item is truly revolutionary, there a lot of chances of being rejected.
The thread which gave birth to the new standards, I believe it referred to why are lower quality items accepted, and not why are similar items accepted.
Sounds great, I just wish the reviewers could provide some feedback (very brief), because the current system of generic rejections & uncontactable reviewers is very frustrating. If you really want to increase quality long term, let people know what they are doing wrong.
I also think that a more detailed explanation when a file is being rejected has to become the new default with the increase in quality standards.
Now, especially the “This File Does Not Meet Our Critera” reason is far too vague. Just tell us if it lacks in aesthetics, uniqueness or another criterium.

Good point a little more info.
Really appreciated
I just uploaded a file prior to reading this … now I’m nervous
But seriously I do think it’s good to have stricter policies and higher standards – it just makes us better as designers in the long run.

Oh, the gold rush days are over, too late for the party
It’s a good news to hear that GR is raising the bar for all designers. I am really frustrated to my submissions get rejected one after another and other clearly sub-par and plain ones get accepted.
I wish to see the reviewing process more consistent and all designers get equal treatment.
Good Luck.
