Howdy,

Just uploaded a logo sting and so begins the wait to see if it gets approved or not! If anybody wants to take a look and see what they think, then it would be much appreciated. It’s relatively simple and it’s not like it’s reinventing the wheel or anything, but I think it looks half decent…

(Looks a bit blurry from :04 to :06 which has since been fixed before submitting the files)

I’ve uploaded two or three AE files before but they all got rejected… hoping that this is the one! The previous ones were not accepted as they ‘didn’t meet the strict quality requirements’ or whatever the line is, which I kind of agree with; they weren’t exactly awe-inspiring! I’ve got a slightly better feeling about this one, as although it’s pretty simple, I think it looks pretty good from a design/style perspective… and it’s 2K, which might help!

Anybody want to give me odds on whether it will get approved or not?!

Thanks,

Scott

This looks really good Stencil !
I hope VH won’t give you hard times since it’s a 3D extrude, they sometimes say “we have enough of those”....
In my opinion it’s true in some cases, but they let other projects pass when VH has enough of them as well…so I can’t tell the future in this case – just saying I love the clean 3D look you made :)

Thanks for the feedback GhosTeam, glad you like it! Yeah, I like to think that it looks pretty good and could hold it’s own in the Logo Stings category, but as you say… it might get turned down as there’s quite a few logo extrusions already out there.

That’s one of the reasons I got half way through then went back and created it in 2K rather than 1080p. Makes it a bit more valuable, hopefully!

Fingers crossed. Time will tell….

Thanks!

I’m crossing them for you too :) ! 2K & 4K are awesome for movies ..it should help sell it to this audience.

Good One Stencil!
I’ve tried and submitted a similar template 2 month ago but it has been rejected! Too many extruded logo! :(
Hope you’ll be more lucky than me!! I also think that 2K is’t a valuable point! Good luck!

This will get rejected, as stro88 said, there are too many extrusion logos. You did a great job on it though.

Thanks guys! I hope it doesn’t get rejected, but you’re probably right… so I won’t hold my breath! Back to the drawing board I reckon, watch this space!

Yours is nice by the way Stro88, I like the glossy effect. Very slick.

Yeah, it got rejected which I kind of expected. I completely understand why it was, so I haven’t got a problem with that, but I was slightly confused by one of the comments in the feedback… it basically said something along the lines of ‘making it slightly larger adds little value to the project’ (in reference to it being 2K rather than Full HD).

Now, I completely agree, but I thought VideoHive saw it differently… seeing that a 1080p clip of some clouds is usually $5 and a 2k clip of some clouds is usually $20. I’ve never quite understood that.

Maybe it only applies to stock footage though.
