Hi,

Can we add logo templates to Graphic River? If yes, which category?

Thanks ;)

Sorry, you are not allowed to upload logos. Well you can, but we don’t accept them. ;-)

In before anyone asks why:

Unfortunately we can’t accept files labelled or positioned as a “Logo”. The reason is that should a user purchase an item and use it as their logo they could then make use of trademark law to pursue other buyers of the same graphic. Consequently GraphicRiver items are not permitted to be used in this way, and we cannot accept files with this purpose.

Huh, interesting.

Personally I think logo’s are one area of design you just can’t template. Identity is exactly that, Identity…. so what would be the point of looking exactly like someone else? More importantly, the complexity of logo design is IMO rarely solved by a generic or pre-determined look.

Here’s a good question though… would it be possible to create some more basic building blocks for logo design and sell them as packs?

I would assume the answer is the same again, the copyright and trademark pursuance is just too problematic.

If you want to sell a logo, you might have a look at Brandstack. A pretty slick system that only allows one person to download your logo and as a result you get to price it much higher.

Can’t we at least have a freebie section. Because I spent a very long time making 30 sharing buttons and icons, just to have it rejected because they are not allowed

Contact PSDtuts or Vectortuts… maybe they would be interested in publishing these as freebies.
