to Graphic-Studio… No they don’t. Lets say you sell lemonade or ice cream during summer, and you want something printed on your stand along with your name. Do you really need a logo for 500$? No you don’t. You need something like it for 30$. So what if someone else have the same symbol. After all the summer is only 3-4 months and then you are closing the business. Some of you may not believe it, but there are millions of business like that. And they DON ’T need a real logo in the way most people understand it. They need just a SYMBOL , representing their product. It just so happens they call it logo. A matter of semantics.

Really pleased to see the newer submissions to this category today, some really nice files. I think I’ll join the ‘on the fence’ group now.

I’m still unhappy about it being ‘ok’ to design a logo with a letter in it, then submit 26 separate logos – one for each letter. These should be bundled into one file!

And I still think it should be a requirement to show the logo in small and also in black and white in the preview image.

I agree silenceplease , As a Contest, One man submitted 1200 works, accounting for 40 pages, I have not seen any Contest like this number of works. (I am not against pixellogo, I doubt the rules of the Contest )

Just so you know, PixelLogo is NOT part of the contest. :)

Also, I’m sorry to the authors of the 20+ logos in the queue. We were going to review them last night and have them up at the same time, but we had some technical issues. We’ll do them asap!

Just one question – what is the point to sell some “logos” for 29 and some for $30 ? 2 reviewers means 2 different pricing? :)

We had decided that all logos would be $29. When we pre-reviewed (before the logo category was live) we were able to set them to $29. When they went through the normal, live queue, that wasn’t an option. So we just left them at $30 until the devs fixed that and I switched them to the correct price. :)

They were submitted and pre-approved before the category went live to kick-start the new logo category upon public launch. :)
