All four of them ( the letter, twitter, RSS , and facebook ) are a single image representing the updates and linking to them. I think it was meant to be like that, although it’s a bit confusing at first.

Have a read of the text, and it’ll make a bit more sense. You can get updates from us via Facebook, and users can also choose to post a link to their Facebook profile on their author profile. Hence the logo 
. You may notice there is also a twitter logo serving the same purpose.
