Hi.

Been working with some people here but then I decided to find a partner developer – So far only one guy has proven fully reliable. It took me, personally, months to find a reliable coder that I can fully work with on our visions.

I think and I am not exaggerating, I’ve tried over 5-6 developers in a short amount of time. People aren’t really interested in partnerships. They just want an off-time payment and I wouldn’t blame them. All of them ended up with “I dropped my Laptop in Lava.” or “The Flying Fish Dinosaur stepped onto my laptop.”. It really doesn’t matter what the quality of an item is, you can be the king of design/code – It’s still not guaranteed to sell. So in such “shaky waters”, I wouldn’t blame them, personally. Objectively – it’s a 50/50. You can roll the dice and earn big or you you can roll the dice and earn nothing. (Really, $2k is nothing. Perhaps somebody thinks it’s worth something, but to work ~1-2 months on a theme for that return? No way.).

Perhaps you’re looking at the problem from the utopian angle of “Why can’t I find a dev? They should be easy to find!”.

It’s indeed very hard to form a partnership (speaking of two individuals who’ve known each other, for example), because each of them has his/her own interests and to match them – that would be very hard, especially in the era where Paranoia begins to be reasonable.

My personal advice which I hope would aid you: Add pictures with women, add shadows, add totally inconsistent shapes & fonts and it should sell.

Just kidding – but keep searching! Perhaps the answer is closer (literally, try your city) to you than you think. ;).
