We have two web games (text-based, not flash) that are in need of makeovers. The first is Prisonblock.com – we’ve done some pretty cool and unique things with this game, and we plan to continue along that vein, however we keep bumping into issues with the design (i.e. no logical location to place new elements, listings not being intuitive etc).
Here is how the design looked when the original designer handed it off: http://www.prisonblock.co,/dev/pb_ingame.png
Over time we’ve made improvements to readability and usability, the site looks more like this now: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/283/9422217506.jpg
Hopefully you’d agree the second would lend to a much better user experience. However, we can’t keep taking days thinking over design each time we want to add a new feature – we should be spending that time on code!
Because of that, we’re looking to bring on a great designer to help not only refresh the aesthetic of the site, but to also pour a great deal of thought into the layout and placement of the UI elements. We want this to be a highly intuitive, yet beautiful layout.
Feel free to sign up, or contact us for demo account details (the inner pages look different than the outer when it comes to content). I invite you to browse a bit to get the feel for things, and if it’s something you’re interested in, by all means, do let me know!
As an FYI , we’re looking to build a long-lasting relationship with the chosen designer (we would like updates to the design to be made by the original creator), so please only apply if you’re OK with this. We understand that many freelancers only take projects in their spare time and prefer one-off projects. That’s absolutely OK, but not for this project.
