There’s a website I’d really like to clone for its features and visuals. It is using a customized Wordpress theme and some plugins which have probably been severely modified. It also has a PHPBB integration for members, member reviews, game cards with related news / videos / screenshots, and much more.
The website is called wiitalia.it. If you think you could create something very similar in terms of features / design, and if possible by using available plugins (popularity contest, next-gen gallery, etc.) I’d appreciate it. I need QUOTES as I dunno how much such a job can be worth. I also don’t know how they tweaked their backend, I’m trying to learn though :/.
All help is welcome!
It looks pretty complex. If you expect quality work, you could be looking at thousands of dollars in development costs.
For cheaper alternatives, there already are some gaming wordpress templates here you might want to check out…granted…they might not be 100% like that particular site in terms of features offered.
Can you give me your theories as to how they achieved this?
Thanks for your comment. I’m aware of the current alternatives available on themeforest and elsewhere.

Yep, this is definitely a pretty heavy development request. My suggestion would be to start with a few PSD > HTML shops (google PSD >HTML) and see what they have to say. The core HTML /CSS isn’t anything special, there’s just tons of details. Next, you’ll need a Wordpress conversion, which will require substantial work with all of the little detail-oriented features that they’ve implemented – often the HTML /CSS shops can also do this conversion for an additional cost : check out http://htmlburger.com for instance.
I wouldn’t expect to have it coded for anything under $1k though… and asking as much as $3k or $4k wouldn’t be out of hand if you need custom backend admin panels. That cost could easily go up from there depending on the content beyond the front page.
Oh, and this is totally besides the legal issues surrounding copying a website – which really isn’t a good idea unless you have some heavy modifications in mind. Some shops won’t even touch a project like this unless you can provide either written consent or design comps for the substantial modifications you’ll be making.
Hope that helps…
