A computer running Microsoft OS is a PC
A computer running Apple OS is a PC
A PC = Personal Computer

So why do you think a Mac is not a PC? Is it made by aliens?

Mac is the forbidden fruit and is evil – hence their logo of an Apple with a bite out of it. They destroyed Flash and dumbed down creativity on the web for profits. Please throw away all Apple illuminati iDevices so we can view the web as it should be through Windows. Thank you :p

I think everybody knows that. The easiest way to differentiate them is to call one a Mac and the other a PC.

Thanks for the comprehension. Thank you all for answering my question. At this point, I think i will choose windows as os and going to buy a laptop, what pc do you guys recommend? I wish a fast, convenient and practical one, useful for programming.

Thanks in advance!

I switched to Mac 3 years ago. When I think about eventually going back to PC (going back is literal in this case) I get cold sweats :S

No need to break a sweat. Just dont buy into the propaganda that win8 is bad. Buy yourself win8 and a nice set of hardware and i guarantee you within a week or two you wont even think about a mac anymore.

@Kronis, Win8 will definitely grow on you, but it does take awhile to get used to. If you’re getting Win8 make sure you get a touchscreen. Without touch, win8 is horrible – touch makes the OS fly unlike any other.

You may want to check out the Surface Pro 128GB. It will deliver the power of a laptop in a tablet and you can actually work incredibly fast on it. You’ll love it as a tablet running Steam and rocking all of the latest games, running Creative Suite without a problem, the pressure sensitive stylus is amazing for Corel Painter, AutoDesk Sketchbook Pro, etc. but isn’t that awesome in Photoshop (Adobe is supposedly working on it).

For programming you can use the USB port for your favorite mechanical keyboard ;) and use HDMI out to code on a big screen. Trust me, you’ll love it and for what it can do the price is just right.

I think the main thing to consider when deciding between Mac or PC is that GTA5 in high definition is coming out for PC. But if you want to be productive and hipster, then there is Mac. Hope this helps. :)

Anything with an intel i7 pricessor, at least 4GB of memory, a good video card, and a solid state hard drive (or at least 7200rpm).. After that, you can make it anything you want it to be.. Mine is Alienware M14x
