hey guys i am really interested in buying new macbook basically for web design and development purpose.

MacBok Air looks sexy but comes with little less configuration than MacBook Pro. Is it sufficient for my needs.

What do you guys suggest.

thanks

They’re both awesome, I just bought the 15” Macbook Pro, simply for the larger screen and harddrive.

Love it!

Unless you travel a lot, then I’d go with the Macbook pro :) Much more power and will connect to a cinema display (if you should get one in the future) without any problem.

Have a air for work and it overheats each time I hook it up to my cinema display.

Do you think that MBP 13 ” (the cheapest one) is good enough for Web Development/ Web Design?

Yes. A $300 Acer Laptop from Walmart and GIMP are good enough for web development and Design.

Sure it’s nice to have the pretty mac with the pretty interface and screen, but is it necessary for web design?, of course not.

That.

If it runs notepad+ and IE7 it’s good to go.
